Writing a song

His approach to writing a song is to start with the base elements and to add things making it interesting. He takes simple components and makes an average song with them. He then embellishes it making it better.

When I am writing, I generally use a prewrite and occasionally write multiple drafts, but mainly I just write. I also go through a mental process of deciding what to write about, how to write about it, and what to include.
